Health

Health care in Coos County consists of multiple clinics, physicians in private practice and Bay Area Hospital, the premier hospital on the south coast. What specialties that are lacking can be accessed by a two hour road trip to Eugene/Springfield or Roseburg. Coos County has a public health and mental health department in North Bend. Ambulance service and Lifeflight are available with many nursing homes, retirement centers, foster and group homes.
